London, Brighton and John Barrowman`s concert in front of Arundel Castle.
It`s time to finally write about my last summer trip of 2009, which was the most enjoyable trip that I have had. I have been to England for the first time now. London was amazing, I didn't even know how huge it was. I have seen almost everything that I wanted to see, and went everywhere by foot. I used the tube only a few times.
First day I went to Brighton, a town in East Sussex on the south coast of Great Britain. I have had a nice time there, it was sunny, so I went for my last swim in the sea this year. The train from London to Brighton was expensive, but definitely worth visiting. I have tried Fish and chips there. Brighton Pier and Royal Pavilion are a must-see and you can take a nice walk along the promenade.
What followed next was Arundel, a town in West Sussex. The most notable architecture there is the beautiful Arundel Castle. A local festival in Arundel was held in that time so I had the chance to attend one of its concerts. Arundel Festival is a presentation of art, music and theatre, so everyone can find something of interest. I went to John Barrowman`s concert. That would be Captain Jack from Torchwood :) He is a Scottish actor, singer, dancer and entertainer. The concert was a picnic style concert, so you can sit down on the grass, eat and drink during the performance. This is a first for me. I brought a lot of food and a red wine, but I ate the most before the concert - there was chicken, salads, melon, blueberries and many other snacks. Some of the songs I listened from my position on the ground, but I couldn't resist going to the first rows and cheer, shout and record a few videos. So I went there and had a great view. John is a really great entertainer and singer, he has a nice voice and he is very funny. He made many jokes. The evening was a such a pleasant experience..enjoying the music, laughing, eating and drinking. John had a guest singer, Daniel Boys, who sang a few songs alone and later they did a duet together. The most entertaining for me was when John sang some Andrew Lloyd Webber songs in a funny way. My favorites were What about us, I made it through the rain, Livin` la vida loca, From a distance and of course the last song, I am what I am. John gives a lot of emotion when he sings that song; I remember when I watched him sing that on youtube a while ago and I was so amazed..that`s when I started listening to him. The concert ended with fireworks.
London was just amazing! I enjoyed exploring it and taking photos, going to shops and seeing all the things it has to offer. I stayed in a hotel near Hyde Park, which was such a great location, near the centre, near Oxford street and Regent street. Hyde Park and St James Park were beautiful, I wish I lived in London, so I could go there for walks or running. St James Park had a lot of birds and squirrels, so I was happy to make photos and videos of them, now that I finally have a digital camera that makes HD video. The hotel served an English breakfast, which was delicious. I especially liked the beans. Eggs, mushrooms and toasted bread were very good. There were also yoghurts and a fruit salad, so every morning I would eat as much as I could and then, fully energized, go exploring London. I loved Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus. I went to the British Museum and National Gallery. I loved London Bridge and Palace of Westminster. I went to a few comic book stores and I was amazed how huge they were..you can get lost inside! I bought new Buffy and Angel comics and Castlevania manga, which is the first manga that I have ever got. One day I went to Greenwich, which was also very nice. Of course, I took a picture standing on the Prime Meridian. I wish I could go back to London..I loved it.

France, summer 2009

This summer I went to France and visited many places there and in surrounding countries.
It was a big trip which lasted for 15 days and in this time I have passed almost 5000 kilometers. I have been majority of time in France, but also visited Italy, Monaco, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Liechtenstein. It was a great trip, first going to French Riviera while staying in Villefranche-Sur-Mer and than moving to continental France. The city of Nice is a great place to go. I even went for a run from Villefranche to Nice, passing along the whole beach in Nice. So many joggers was a joy to see in Nice on Promenade des Anglais. I liked the town Annecy in France, it was very beautiful. In the French region of Alsace, it was interesting to look at those little colorful houses, they have a specific look and many of them were decorated by a lot of flowers. Storks are the symbol of Alsace and they can be seen on many rooftops. During my trip, I stayed a few nights on a farm in Orbey and I took quite a lot of photos there. It was a fascinating view. I also took photos of the animals. I went for a swim in Rhine - that was very nice. I felt how strong the current was as it almost pulled me away. What fascinated me the most in the last few days of the trip was seeing Rhine Falls. Those are the largest plain waterfalls in Europe, located near the town of Schaffhausen in northern Switzerland. It was amazing to see that force of water running down..it was huge. I visited Geneva and Basel in Switzerland and Vaduz in Liechtenstein. I am glad I went to all these places..traveling and getting to know the world is the best you can do with your time and money. Do it and you won`t be sorry. It`s definitely worth it.
This is a list of places I have been to during this trip. This means I walked through those places, took photos etc..not just passed in a car. Amazing how much you can see in 15 days!

Visiting Baška in 2009

My favorite place in Croatia..every summer I visit this beautiful place on the island of Krk.
After seeing Tiziano Ferro in concert, I went to Baška, Croatia. I spent 10 days there with my grandparents and little cousin. I have been visiting this place almost every year since my birth, so I have many memories from there. I really love the mornings, so I used them the best I could. I was out very early every day and it was the best thing every single day. It is very peaceful and calm in the morning, I was able to enjoy Baška without crowds, people walking by or children shouting. It was very relaxing, I went to all parts of Baška: from the camp Bunculuka, along the beach to the mountains behind Zarok, and all the way to Škuljica, where my favorite little beach is located. To get there, you need to take a walk through the woods and over the mountains, or you could go in boat. I went two times there this summer and I had a camera with me so I was able to make many beautiful photos.

Tiziano Ferro in Sottomarina

See the photos and videos from my first concert of Tiziano Ferro! I loved the romantic concert on the beach.
I am back from my summer vacations and I have many nice memories that I want to share with everyone. So, I`ll go chronologically. First I went to Sottomarina in Italy to see Tiziano Ferro in concert. I didn't even listen to Tiziano until April 2009 when another fan of Laura Pausini recommended his latest album to me. I loved the album ″Alla mia eta″ very much when I listened to it and I listened to it every day. I just had to go to the concert and hear Tiziano singing live.
The concert was on the beach in Sottomarina, Italy. I loved the sea so the setting was perfect. It was a sunny and hot day but the concert started in the evening. The wait wasn't tough, I bought a beer and talked to other Tiziano`s fans. I managed to get to the first row, which I appreciate a lot after coming for the concert from Croatia.
Tiziano was great singing live, I enjoyed the evening a lot. I sang only a few songs, because I don't know lyrics of many of them. My favorite song are Non me lo so spiegare, Indietro, Alla mia eta, Il regalo piu grande, Sere nere, Imbranato, La traversata dell`estate, Stop dimentica. I enjoyed the most of all Non me lo so spiegare, which was the last song of the concert. Beautiful!
The view from the first row was perfect..I could see sweat drops flying from Tiziano`s mouth while he was singing with emotion some of the songs. I wish I had more time to learn more lyrics by heart because there are so many nice songs that I would enjoy singing with Tiziano and the crowd.
I can`t wait to hear next Tiziano`s album and I will definitely buy the DVD of the concert when it comes out. He is a great singer and songwriter. I also hope to see him in another duet with Laura. My two favorite Italian singers..

Laura Pausini at Villa Manin - concert review

My third time to see Laura in concert, this time in Codroipo at Villa Manin, was again an amazing time of enjoyment, great music, singing and cheering.
This concert is part of Laura`s summer tour and she changed the set list. The concert began with Mille Braccia, which is a rather lively song. I prefered the more stunning beginning of the concert with Invece no, but this was nice, too. This song was followed by two of my favorite songs: Ascolta Il Tuo Cuore and Come Se Non Fosse Stato Mai Amore. Of course, I shouted and sang as loud as I could. What a joy!! Singing there with Laura and being part of live music and dance which had us all under a spell.

Among the new songs, we got to hear the full version of Bellissimo Cosi, and in medley Il Tuo Nome In Maiuscolo, Due Innamoratti Come Noi, Il Mio Beneficio and Prima Che Esci. Laura and her team also dedicated a song Heal the world to Micheal Jackson, who died recently.

When Laura got into her fancy sparkly silver dress, she sang Invece no, which was amazing. In the first part of tour she sang Sorella terra in this dress, but I didn`t like that very much, that song is not one of my favorites. This was much much better and of course I love Invece no. Fantastic lyrics, great music and deep feelings within the song.

I am so happy that I could go to yet another concert, it was really great. I love Laura`s music, she sings so well live, I get carried away in the music, lyrics and the emotions. I hope she will make many more albums and tour a lot in future. I adore how Laura closes many of her concerts, which she did with this one: "Fatte l`amore questa notte!!" or "Make love this night!"

Now, let me sing again! Credi in te! Ascolta il tuo cuore! Fai quel che dice anche se fa soffrire. Chiudi gli occhi e poi tu lasciati andare, prova a volare.....

See my video from the concert (better go see Laura live, she rocks!!!):

Laura Pausini - Amazing concert in Treviso

YES! I was on another concert of Laura Pausini! It was great, I am so happy that I could go and it was more than worth it. It was amazing!!!
Now I know that there won`t be other concerts that I will enjoy as mush as a concert by Laura Pausini. I love her music and I love to sing the lyrics, I like to shout them loudly at the concert. Only her songs have this effect on me. Although I love some other performers, I can`t sing on their concerts or get into that "high" feeling that I felt on Laura`s concerts. Now, I want more! This is getting addictive!.jpg)

I was in the second row in the middle, so I was able to see everything very well. I am really satisfied with the position I had. The concert repertoire was almost the same as in Brescia, but I think it is perfect. Laura sang all of my favorite songs, except La mia risposta. There are also a few other songs I would like to hear, but this one song is the first Laura`s song that I have ever heard, so I`d like to hear it live one day..jpg)
.jpg)
.jpg)
Three of my dearest songs were the first songs of the concert: Invece no, Ascolta il tuo cuore and Come se non fosse stato mai amore. I sing these songs even on the street these days..I love them! .jpg)
.jpg)
Later at the concert I very much enjoyed the performances of Strani amori, Tra te e il mare, Un fatto ovvio, Vivimi, Destinazione paradiso, Resta in ascolto and Primavera in anticipo. Actually I loved deeply all of the songs except Sorella terra which I don`t really like, but it is nice to watch Laura perform it because she is wearing a beautiful silver dress for that song..jpg)
Laura had different clothes than on the concert in Brescia and I like these clothes more. The black outfit was really good looking. Laura looked really good in it. The golden top and black pants were also nice. For the last few songs, Laura came in a blue dress.
During the song Non c'è, Laura took two paper airplanes that fans threw on the stage and she threw them back to us. I cought one of them and it was a great feeling to get it! I grabbed it with a big smile on my face and continued singing and shouting. The wonderful time I had I will never forget. .jpg)
These two pictures with airplanes were not taken by me, these are captures from another video on youtube. Other photos are all taken by me!
A video compilation from the concert:
And here is a slideshow of my photos from Treviso, which I am happy to have seen! It was a beautiful and sunny day, perfect for enjoying and exploring a new city. You will also see photos from the hotel I stayed in, which was really good.

Laura Pausini in concert in Brescia

I have been 3 days in Lombardy, Italy on a vacation and I finally went to see Laura Pausini in concert! Laura was amazing, she sang many of my favorite songs. I enjoyed this so much!
My trip to Lombardy started on Friday 3rd and I had a very nice company. We went by car and arrived to Sarnico late at night. This is a small place on the lake Iseo. It is a very nice and charming little town. We have visited Bellagio and Como on the lake Como and then Bergamo. On Sunday we went to Iseo, Sulzano and Monte Isola, which is an island in the middle of the lake Iseo, it is the largest island of any lake in southern Europe. The weather was partly sunny except for a short period of heavy rain.
On Sunday, the day of the concert I woke up with sore throat. What bad luck, I thought. How will I sing tonight with Laura? First we went to explore the lake of Iseo, but then I had to leave for the concert. I knew I would go early, but I wasn`t sure at what time. So I caught a train from Sulzano to Brescia and then a bus to the place where the concert would be held. Only I missed the bus stop and had to find my way to the concert hall, which was not an easy task..no one was there to ask and there were many big roads around. I met someone who was also going to the concert so he helped me get there.
Once I arrived in front of the concert hall, at 3:30 PM, there were already loads of people waiting in lines and on the floor. I was expecting some people, but not that much. There were two entrances and I sat on the end of one line. I even brought a pillow to sit on. I ate a sandwich and met a few girls who I talked to. Everyone was very excited. At one time, very soon after I got there, people went crazy and stood up to make a line, very tight one. I think it was because Laura came to the concert hall. So we all stood there like sardines, without being able to move from 4PM until 7PM when they started to let us inside. It was so much pushing, it was unbelievable, yet funny and exciting. The excitement was really palpable. Once I was inside, I ran like crazy and took a place in front of the stage. I managed to get to the third row in front of the stage, on the right side from my view. There were 2 and half hours left to stand there before Laura would come out and start her concert. I met some very nice people there who were friendly and as excited as I was. We all shouted „Fuori, fuori..“ and „Laura, Laura..“ until she came to the stage, She started singing Invece no, my favorite song from the new album. I started singing with her, as almost everyone did. We were very loud, every once in a while someone was shouting like crazy. Me too!
This is the first time I went to see Laura in concert and she was amazing! She sings so beautiful, and she showed us how well she sounds live. I was ecstatic the whole concert, singing most of the songs, shouting the lyrics very loud. I was clapping hands and very much there in the moment. Finally seeing Laura, listening to her singing live and singing with her and the rest of the crowd (I think there was 12000 of us). I love lyrics of Laura`s songs, there are beautiful, emotional, deep, strong, fantastic..I felt every word I sang there, it was an amazing feeling. My hands were always in air clapping or waving or making short videos or photos. It is nice to have a few memories of an unforgettable evening like this one.
LAURA, LAURA, LAURA!!!! I can still hear the shouting and the feeling. It was a fantastic concert, and I am so happy that Laura sang my favorite songs: Come se non fosse stato mai amore, Tra te e il mare, Ascolta il tuo cuore, Vivimi, Resta in ascolto, Destinazione paradiso, Invece no, Primavera in anticipo, Un fatto ovvio, Non c'è, Nel modo piú sincero che c'è (this one was in a medley).

Laura changed her clothes a few times, but she was really fast. She talked to the audience a few times, she was very sweet. She mentioned her birthday coming soon, and her astrological sign being Taurus – she said we (I am also Taurus) are passionate, stubborn and persistent. I was 2 metres from the stage so I have seen everything and had a nice view. I am very very pleased and happy, Laura—you made me live an amazing night filled with your excellent music, emotions and energy. I will always remember this night, it was a perfect concert. I hope to see you many more times in concert!

Symphony in Vienna - anniversary
.jpg)
One year has passed already since the best concert of my life. This intimate beautiful concert is everything I wanted from Sarah Brightman.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
These days, me and other European fans of Sarah, we are waiting to find out the dates for Sarah`s Symphony tour in Europe. It seems the tour is not coming here until later this year. At first I was very anxious to see it, but now I know I will have patience. I have already seen videos from the tour and heard the songs, I have seen most of the dresses that Sarah wears on this tour, and yes - I can wait for this. It will happen some day in Europe as well. I realized that the Vienna concert was much superior in its quality, in things that are important to me.
I remember when I got the ticket for the concert. It was too much excitement to handle. Finally, I was going to see and hear Sarah Brightman. At that time, her album Symphony was still not out so most of the song were new and unheard. It was so exciting to be a part of this premiere concert, I am so thankful that I had this opportunity.

It was very cold in the cathedral, Sarah must have been cold. I waited for a long time outside of the cathedral and then some more time inside. I was very impatient for the concert to begin. While we were waiting, Siewmay was taking photos of the audience.
Throughout the concert Sarah wore three really beautiful dresses, much more elegant than those that she wears on her tours. She was the shining spot in the cathedral. Her voice was better than ever, perfect! They had to record two songs twice: Canto della terra and Time to say goodbye. I was hoping they would to have to do many rerecordings so I could listen to that beautiful voice all night long.
Because this concert was held in a cathedral it wasn`t much of a surprise to hear Ave Maria and Pie Jesu - I knew we would hear those two. And Time to say goodbye, which is never left out. But I never ever expected to hear the full song Phantom of the opera. This performance was absolutely breathtaking and surprising, I`d say fucking brilliant! Nothing can top that view of Sarah with Chris Thompson high in the cathedral singing and screaming their hearts out!
We have had pleasure not only to listen to the angel of music, but also three wonderful guests. Fernando Lima and Chris Thompson were both great, but Alessandro Safina was my favorite, I loved his voice. The song Sarai qui is so much better as a duet than it would be as a solo version. When the song began the two of them passed my by and sang right there the first part of the song. I love duets and this was a very special moment. Alessandro was great duet partner for Canto della terra as well and luckily they had to redo that song.

Moving on to..Storia d`amore, my favorite song on the album Symphony, along with Fleurs du mal. This song is really beautiful, so tender and has deep emotions within. I love the Italian language in songs. The melody is also wonderful and the whole song moves me deeply. When I first heard the title of the song I thought it would be a remake of Love story. But it turned out so much better.
My favorite older albums of Sarah`s are Eden and La Luna. Those albums have that same high quality and amazing selection of songs. That is why I love Sarah Brightman. Those two albums are so perfect. Songs like Eden, So many things, Anytime, anywhere, This love, Winter in July, Here with me, Un jour il viendra, Deliver me, Tú, Il mio cuore va, Figlio perduto..these are some of my favorite songs.
The new album Symphony might not be themed like Eden and Luna are, but the selection of the songs is again perfect. There is not a single song that I don`t like. So now, this album is with Eden and Luna, among my favorites. I remember when I heard Attesa for the first time in Stephansdom cathedral. I knew it, this is IT!!!!! Eden and Luna quality is back! Sarah is back!!!!!!!! Again the beautiful voice, melody, italian lyrics, deep meaning of the song, and the heavenly ending of the song. Wow! Wow! Sarah!!! You did it again!!!
Running is such a spectacular song, only Sarah and Frank Peterson come out with such songs. Part hymn and part uplifting song, and the screaming..I am in heaven when I hear this. Fleurs du mal also has that screaming at the beginning and I love it. On the concert Sarah didn`t scream at the beginning of Fleurs du mal, she just walked up to the middle of the church with her red dress spread. I will never forget this moment, she passed my by and stopped a few feet away to sing. That is how I saw Sarah for the first time and it was pretty impressive. And the lights were being turned on and off quickly so it was dramatic and exciting. My heart kept racing. Sarah meant to run at the beginning from the back of the cathedral for the introduction of the song, but she didn`t do it because the pavement was slippery and she fell down during the preparations. This is how I saw Sarah for the first time, how could I not be amazed and under such strong impression? :-) Just look at this!
Some of the song from the album Symphony were already released before (for a movie, TV series, another concert and sports event), but it was fantastic hearing them live. When Sarah and Fernando sang Pasión, during the lyrics "Nunca te faltará alguien en quien confiar.." I said to myself: "I need to remember this feeling forever, this is such perfection!!!!".
I have recently rewatched other recordings of Sarah`s concerts from her previous tours and I have concluded that Symphony in Vienna is the best looking concert of all. The interior of Stephansdom cathedral was beautiful location for the concert, and it was lit very fascinating; every detail of architecture was pointed out by lighting, sculptures and paintings came to life. There were no distracting dancers or projections of images. It was only Sarah (and guest singers) in her beauty and her stunning strong voice. It was so elegant, it was heaven. I knew I will remember that night forever. The intimate concert of Sarah Brightman in which she presented her beautiful new songs and sang some of her classics. That is all I need..
Luckily, I have the DVD and live CD of this concert (thanks to Daniel) so I can relive the night over and over again. Every time I watch it (or listen to it) I am back in heaven, right there in the cathedral listening to the angel of music. When watching the DVD, my heartbeat still races when I see Fleurs du Mal and Phantom of the opera. This was absolutely breathtaking! It was one year ago, on January 16, 2008., but it will stay forever in me. Thank you, Sarah!
